Snert! (Dutch Split Pea Soup)
The Dutch version of a very hearty split pea soup: Snert! Snert is made with split peas, pork shoulder, smoky sausage and lots of veggies carrot, leeks, celeriac. And of course we have a vegetarian variant, it is just as good (although a bit lighter). It is a lovely, satisfying soup for lunch or dinner on a cold day. This is a good one to order an extra jar to put in the freezer for a cold (maybe) snowy day over the holidaysπ
